Congratulations on becoming a mother! It’s truly remarkable to think about the journey you’ve just begun with the arrival of your little one. It’s an exciting time, and I look forward to following your experiences and milestones, perhaps even catching glimpses of them in your upcoming shows!
As you navigate this new chapter, I wanted to offer some insights that may help you along the way. From one mom to another, here are a few tips to keep in mind:
Newborn Skin
First, it’s important to recognize that newborns often have very fair skin. While your baby might look a bit pale right now, it’s perfectly normal. There’s no need to rush into using any self-tanning products just yet. In fact, you might even find that he has a touch of jaundice, which is quite common in infants.
Hair Development
Additionally, many babies are born with little to no hair. Don’t worry if your little one doesn’t have a full head of hair just yet; there will be plenty of time for you to style that cute little tuft into an adorable look!
Fragrances
While you might be tempted to indulge in fragrances, it’s best to wait until your baby is a bit older. Right now, he likely has a natural scent that’s delightful, so save the colognes for when he starts eating solids.
Postpartum Recovery
As for your own recovery, be prepared for some physical changes. You may experience postpartum bleeding, so it’s wise to wear appropriate undergarments to manage any leaks. After all, you wouldn’t want to leave any reminders of your recent labor around town!
Wishing you all the best, Jenna!
P.S. Just a quick note: breastfeeding is not a reliable method of birth control, so keep that in mind as you settle into motherhood.
