I’ve come across countless articles discussing the challenges of raising three children versus the advantages of sticking with two. While I’m not trying to discourage anyone from having a third child, I understand how these discussions might come off that way. Recently, a reader shared her uncertainty about wanting a third child after reading my posts, which was never my intention. So, to clarify: I wholeheartedly cherish having three kids and can’t envision my life any other way.

Here are ten (out of countless) reasons I adore my youngest child:

1. He doesn’t just give kisses; he seizes your face in both hands and KISSES YOU LIKE THERE’S NO TOMORROW. When he hugs, it’s a full-body enveloping experience. His love is fierce for everyone he cares about.
2. He brings out the playful side in everyone around him; it’s impossible not to smile when he’s near.
3. He dives headfirst into every activity, often without a second thought, which can be a heart-stopping thrill for me!
4. His adoration for his older siblings is absolutely heartwarming.
5. He has a knack for finding his way into my arms and making himself right at home there.
6. He’s perfectly content to join in on family activities, with expectations blissfully low.
7. His unique style is something to behold, and he rocks it with confidence.
8. Even when he’s being mischievous, his sweetness shines through.
9. He completed our family, filling a space I didn’t even realize was empty.
10. He will forever be my baby, no matter how much he grows up. I know this because he promised me, and I intend to hold him to it.
