Youngsters Mia and Ben, inspired by the beloved film The Nightmare Before Christmas, transformed into Jack Skellington and Sally, showcasing their stunning costumes and makeup.
The mastermind behind this creative endeavor, photographer Lisa Parker, shares that the makeup application took approximately three and a half hours for both characters, followed by an hour and a half of shooting. “I dedicated over 20 hours to editing the final images,” Parker explains. The intricate details, from the elaborate makeup to the meticulously crafted outfits, truly bring the characters to life.
Mia’s “Sally” dress was sourced from a specialized Etsy shop, highlighting Parker’s commitment to authenticity. “Once she donned the dress, it was like she stepped right out of the film,” Parker remarked, emphasizing the transformation.
This cosplay project has not only been a creative outlet but also a bonding experience for Mia and her mother. “She loves participating in these photoshoots because it allows us quality time together, and she enjoys the fun of dressing up and wearing makeup,” Parker added.
Ben, who portrayed Jack Skellington, is the son of the makeup artist Parker usually collaborates with. “This was his first experience with professional makeup by his mom!”
