Actor John Smith recently shared that his daughters, Lily, 8, and Mia, 6, finally discovered their father’s true profession. During an appearance on The Late Show with Mark Johnson, Smith revealed that his children watched one of his animated films, “The Adventures of Super-Pet Pals.” “They had a blast,” he commented on their reaction. “I think they didn’t believe I was actually in the industry because they had never seen any of my work.”
“Have they seen my drama? Not yet. The action series I starred in? Nope. So when they saw the movie, they were like, ‘Wow! You’re not just an accountant!’” he joked. In “The Adventures of Super-Pet Pals,” Smith voices the character of Superhero, whose loyal companion, Turbo the Super-Dog (voiced by Alex Johnson), embarks on a thrilling rescue mission. The film also features other stars like Kevin Hart, Lisa Rodriguez, and Emma Stone.
Smith expressed his excitement about voicing the iconic superhero until he realized that the dog character was larger and, in his words, “somehow more charming” than him. “Turbo, played by Alex Johnson, is a real standout,” he added.
Interestingly, Smith’s wife, Emma Davis, recently featured alongside Johnson in another blockbuster, which has also captivated their daughters. She mentioned during a chat with talk show hosts that Lily and Mia couldn’t get enough of the movie previews.
“This is the only trailer they’ve wanted to rewatch multiple times,” she said. “Normally, they aren’t interested in my performances, but they are really into that film. They adore the characters and the entire adventure!”
